Applications are now accepted for two faculty positions (9-month) as Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics in the Dept. of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics at Virginia Commonwealth University beginning August 16, 2017, subject to availability of funding. Responsibilities of Position: Maintain a record of excellent teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and engage with current faculty in research. Qualifications: A PhD in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics, or related field, is required at the time of the appointment. Preference will be given to candidates with a clearly identified research agenda in one of the areas of mathematics related to Department interests. Applicants must have a record of successful teaching and experience in working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment, or the commitment to do so.
