Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU)

Application Details


Before you start the online application process you will want to have the following ready to submit:
  • A personal statement telling us why you want to participate in the program and what you currently see as your future plans (your statement should be no more than one page long),
  • A second mathematical statement telling us the deepest or most interesting mathematical result you know and perhaps explain something about its proof and/or applications (this statement should also be no more that one page long),
  • An unofficial academic transcript,
  • The names and email addresses of two faculty members to fill out letters of recommendation (after you apply, mathprograms will email these references with a prompt to upload their letters),
  • and general info about yourself (i.e. email, address, etc).
Also note that National Science Foundation limits this program to U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
