Topics: First order differential equations, and second order linear equations. Applications, including mechanical oscillators. Additional topics from Laplace transform, numerical methods, and partial differential equations. Solution methods and applications appropriate for science and engineering.
Textbook: Boyce and DiPrima, Elementary Differential Equations and Boundary Value Problems, 9th ed., Wiley.
Homework will be assigned but not collected. Two Tests will be given. Quizs will be given on most Fridays, and a cumulative score will be recorded. The Grade for the course is determined by the best two of these three scores. Test and Quiz problems come directly from the assigned Homework.
