In this talk we shall begin with a review of the boundary Harnack principle for positive harmonic functions. Then we shall investigate the same for other partial differential equations. The techniques used to solve such problems rely heavily on the interplay between probability and partial differential equations. The problems arise from the theory of measure valued branching processes.
