Abstract:

If we consider a continuous function defined and integrable on a locally compact abelian group with compact support for its Fourier transform, can we reconstruct the function completely from its values on a closed subgroup of the locally compact abelian group? This question is explored by means of an example and a general sampling theorem is presented.
