The hyperbolic volume of the knot complement is a key invariant of interest, but difficulties can arise when trying to understand the geometric structure of the complement for an arbitrary knot. In this talk, I will talk about a generalization of the Volume Conjecture to graphs which are the one-skeleton of a hyperideal polyhedron, due to Costantino. I will also go over a proof of the conjecture for the case where the polyhedron is a hyperideal tetrahedron.
