Networks have become a valuable tool in analyzing biological systems.  In particular, network models are increasingly used to model epidemics.  I will first give an overview of simple  stochastic models on networks.  Then, I will discuss the results of simulations on a variety of networks and connections between the statistics of the epidemic process and the statistics of the underlying network.
