We are pleased to announce the 2015 Center for Genome Research and Biocomputing (CGRB) Spring Conference/Colloquium for the computational biology community. This will be a full day event on Monday, April 6, 2015. We hope you will join us.
We will offer a new event, the “Lightning Talk”. There are 10 slots available, first signed-up first served. The lightning talk will be judged for one cash prize. This could be a great public speaking opportunity, so we strongly encourage students and postdocs to apply.
Registration is now open. Please carefully note the following:
1. Registration - Please register at the conference website (http://cgrb.oregonstate.edu/spring-conference). The registration deadline is Tuesday, March 31, 2015 by noon. All scientific participants should register independently at the website. Please note: you must register for the conference and poster(s)/lightning talk separately. Be sure to note any dietary restrictions or other concerns on the registration form.
2. Posters - We strongly encourage posters from all participants. The deadline for poster registration is Tuesday, March 31, 2015 by noon. Please note the size limitations and set-up times on the website. Registered posters will be judged for cash prizes in 2 categories; Undergraduate Student and Graduate Student.
3. Lightning Talk - Talks will be limited to 3-4 minutes and under 5 slides. The printed slides must be presented at the poster session to be qualified for cash award judging.
3. Schedule of Events - A preliminary program schedule is available on the conference website.
Please contact Jeannine Cropley (jeannine@cgrb.oregonstate.edu) or Rosa Hill (hillr@cgrb.oregonstate.edu) if you have questions or comments.
