Abstract:

We will talk about main ideas behind empirical theory of fluid turbulence and how there ideas can
be reflected in the mathematics of Navier-Stokes and Euler equations. To keep the discussion
non-technical, I will only assume basic knowledge of vector calculus and linear algebra, but no prior
experience with functional analysis or partial differential equations.
