This is Part II of a seminar talk that I gave in the fall. I will first review the genus of an end in a 3-manifold and provide some examples.
This will be related to the local genus of points in certain well known subsets of R3.

I will then provide more details of the construction that shows:
For each sequence (Ni), where Ni is either an integer greater than one, or infinity, there is is a contractible 3-manifold M with a dense
set of ends (ei) with the genus of ei=Ni .
