An algebraic number is said to be totally p-adic if its minimal polynomial splits completely over Qp (the completion of the rational numbers under the p-adic metric).  The presenter will begin with a brief overview of p-adic numbers and height theory, followed by a condition for when a cubic polynomial splits completely over Qp.
