Pacific Crest Innovation Academy is a public micro-high school launching fall 2017 in the Columbia River Gorge. With the support of its partner college, Clark College, it will offer a catalog of College in the High School courses that provide students with an opportunity to earn up to two years of college credits concurrently with their high school diploma. PCIA is hiring full-time instructors in Chemistry or Biology, Math, Technology, English, and History, and part-time instructors in a World Language, PE/Health, and Art. Qualified applicants must hold a Master’s degree in their specific subject area to qualify as an Adjunct Professor of the subject with our partner college; a Master’s in Education is insufficient regardless of additional certifications or qualifications. While post-secondary teaching experience is preferred, a teaching certificate is not initially required if an applicant is willing to seek certification within two years with PCIA support.
