In the Cow Problem, a cow is tethered to a silo and we are asked to find the total area available to the cow for grazing. The paper is an investigation into the types of active learning and problem solving behaviors that might be elicited by the Cow Problem, were it to serve as the central task in a recitation period. Kevin's major professor is Prof. Elise Lockwood.
