Emerald Stacy will speak about the under-representation of women in STEM and the need for more inclusive spaces.
Emerald is a PhD Candidate in Mathematics at Oregon State University with a minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Next fall, she will begin her career as an Assistant Professor at Washington College, a small liberal arts college in Chestertown, Maryland. Emerald is passionate about teaching mathematics and creating inclusive spaces for her students.
