This is a talk in the graduate seminar MTH 607: Building Inclusive, Equitable, Respectful and Welcoming Mathematical Communities.

The classrooms, laboratories and learning environments of today have evolved significantly. We now recognize the importance of creating equitable, culturally competent learning environments where the diverse lived experiences of students and faculty alike are necessary to excellence. However, we often find ourselves without clear strategies to advance this work. My talk addresses a framework developed by Oregon State faculty to advance equitable, culturally competent learning environments and suggests strategies for application.
