Ball State University is seeking applications for two full-time tenure-track faculty positions in Actuarial Science. Duties include teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, scholarship in actuarial science, student advising, and professional service. The Distinguished Professor also will be expected to provide exemplary leadership and outreach for the department’s highly successful actuarial program, maintain and develop industry contacts, and adequately prepare graduates for membership in the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) or the Society of Actuaries (SOA).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Fellow of CAS or SOA and master’s degree (or higher) with at least 18 graduate credit hours related to actuarial science OR Associate of CAS or SOA and Ph.D. in a mathematical science from an accredited institution; 5 or more years of experience in actuarial science acquired in either an academic or corporate environment; demonstrated capacity for high-quality scholarship.
