Announcing the 6th annual Northwest Undergraduate Mathematics Symposium to be held at Oregon State University on Saturday, April 12, 2014.  NUMS is a one-day regional mathematics conference with the objective of providing a forum for undergraduate students to share their mathematical ideas.

While the main program will consist of talks by undergraduate students, first-year graduate students are welcome to present research completed while still undergraduates, or expository talks of interest to undergraduates.  We will also hold a panel discussion on graduate school and career opportunities for math majors.

This year we are pleased to announce that Professor Patrick De Leenheer will give the keynote address related to Mathematical Biology.  Free lunch is provided for all speakers and participants who register by April 4. There is no registration fee.
