OSU Nuclear Engrg

In this talk, I will present an overview of the types of physics/engineering problems addressed in nuclear science with an eye toward the importance of simulation. I will focus on two applications: prediction of nuclear reactor operational characteristics and inertial confinement fusion. Both applications require sophisticated multiphysics physics solvers and utilize advanced computational hardware resources.
