Thank you to all who attended the 2nd Annual SIAM Poster Session at the Lonseth Lecture. We had nine excellent posters and had a great time sharing our research with each other.

The judges' scores have been tabulated, and three winners have emerged from a very close competition! The winners are:

Graduate Student Presenter, First Prize ($50):
Carrie Manore, et al.
"A Mathematical Model for the Spread of Multi-host Animal Diseases with a Case Study on Rinderpest"

Graduate Student Presenter, Second Prize ($25):
Li Chen,
"Risk Analysis..."

Undergraduate Student Presenter, First Prize ($50):
Frederick, Jackson, Leung
"Adapting Composite Models to Geoprofiling for Crime Prediction"

Again, thanks to all who took part in this session. The competition was fierce, and every poster was rated very highly! The winning posters will be displayed for the following week in the Valley Library Foyer, so if you weren't able to attend the session, stop by and check out the winners!
