Biography

Scott L. Peterson is a Senior Instructor II in Mathematics at Oregon State University. His primary teaching responsibilities have been in the areas of Teacher Education, Calculus, and College Algebra. Scott has been involved in redesigning the College Algebra at OSU with a new emphasis on conceptual understanding through cooperative learning. His educational interests lie in using visualization and multiple representations to promote students’ conceptual understanding and to facilitate students’ transfer of mathematical knowledge to other scientific fields.
