The mathematics department welcomes two new fixed term assistant professors in AY 2018-19.

Blessing Emerenini

Dr. Emerenini is a mathematician specializing in mathematical modeling, numerical simulation and mathematical analysis of infectious diseases, microbial, ecological and biological systems. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and computer Science from the Federal University of Technology Owerri in Nigeria. She earned two master’s degrees; a M.Sc. in applied mathematics from Eindhoven University of Technology in Eindhoven, Netherlands and a M. Eng. from Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria. She received her PhD. in applied mathematics from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, in 2015. Blessing has also completed one postdoc at the Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada.

Tuan Ngoc Pham

Dr. Pham earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics and computer science from the University of Science in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and earned a master’s degree in applied mathematics from the University of Orleans in Orleans, France. Dr. Pham spent the summer of 2011 as an intern at Ecole Polytechnique (Palaiseau, France) where he worked on his master’s thesis.
