We will be joined by Dr. Luis Leyva, a leading scholar in mathematics education research, who will lead discussion about two of his papers that we have read: Queer of color justice in undergraduate mathematics education (Notices of the American Mathematical Society, 2024), and Detailing racialized and gendered mechanisms of undergraduate precalculus and calculus classroom instruction (Cognition & Instruction, 2021).
