One of the key invariants of hyperbolic knots is the notion of their volume. Despite this, hyperbolic volume for knots is a subject still poorly understood. In this talk, I aim to discuss how a recent paper improved an existing bound for volume in terms of a knot diagram's "twist number," and I will explore how this work can be expanded to a broader class of knots than the paper's author originally handled.
