The National Science Foundation has selected Elise Lockwood to serve as a rotating program director within the Education and Human Resources (EHR) Directorate, a position she started in August 2021. Within EHR, Lockwood works primarily with programs in the Division of Undergraduate Education (DUE), and she also works on several cross-divisional programs. DUE's programs are intended to strengthen STEM education at colleges and universities by improving curricula, instruction, laboratories, infrastructure, assessment, diversity of students and faculty, and collaborations. Lockwood will facilitate the review of national research proposals and make crucial funding recommendations during her term. The unique opportunity will enable Lockwood to help shape the future of the field of mathematics education research. Lockwood has relocated to Alexandria, VA during her time in this rotating position.
