OSU Math faculty members and graduate students are offering a number of weekly Math Circle meetings for Corvallis students during the 2024-2025 academic year.
A math circle is a meeting where participants do math. Typically this consists of group work on interesting problems that complements, but does not overlap with, traditional curricula. Examples include explorations in combinatorics (counting), probability, geometry, logic and modeling. It is closer to a math club than a math class.
Math circles are for kids who like math, and kids who want to like math. Math circles aim to make math fun, interesting, accessible and inclusive. Math circles are not competitive.
The following locations have math circles active this year

- Lincoln Elementary (flyer, flyer en espanol, registration)
