Math Circle Outreach

Math Circle Outreach

OSU Math faculty members and students offered a number of weekly Math Circle meetings for Corvallis students during the 2024-2025 academic year.

A math circle is a meeting where participants do math. Typically this consists of group work on interesting problems that complements, but does not overlap with, traditional curricula. Examples include explorations in combinatorics (counting), probability, geometry, logic and modeling.

Students from the following schools participated:

  • Franklin elementary and middle school
  • Lincoln elementary
  • Linus Pauling middle school
  • Cheldelin middle school
  • Corvallis and Crescent Valley High Schools
